According to the Fabcaro comic book
Eight actors and actresses embody fifty colourful characters in Zaï Zaï Zaï Zaï, a sound creation based on the popular comic book by Fabcaro.
They are seated in a row behind tables on which microphones and a range of accessories have been laid. In just under an hour, these actors recreate the devastating world of Zaï Zaï Zaï Zaï, the work which brought fame to comic book creator Fabcaro in 2015. Midway between a burlesque comedy and social satire, this road-trip farce spares no one, targeting the police, teenagers, well-intentioned artists, conspiracy theorists, journalists and politicians.
Zaï Zaï Zaï Zaï recounts the adventures of Fabrice, a fugitive who has become “public enemy number one” after being unable to produce his loyalty card at the supermarket checkout. “Fabcaro denounces the obsession of our society with security,” explains director Paul Moulin. Featuring a generous dose of antics and the absurd, this “live radiophonic fiction” takes a sideways view, not only to make us laugh, but also to advocate tolerance and acceptance of others.
